Miracles in Andavan Pichai’s life: Her life was peppered with many miracles.  To name a few,

  • The very first miracle was at the age of 10 when the Lord wrote upon her tongue and set her on her divine journey.

  • The second major miracle was when He came to her in her comatose state and freed her from her promise and joyfully started to sing His praises again.

  • The third miracle was the Krishna Leela songs which came spontaneously in a trance at the Vaishnavi shrine in Chennai, where Devi herself enacted the whole Bhagawata as child Krishna for her.  She later took the songs to offer them at the Radha Krishna temple in Mathura.  As she stood in line with the crowd, her notebook in her hand to reach the altar, a monkey snatched the book and ran away.  A little distraught, she awaited her turn at the altar.  When at last she neared the altar, the monkey came back and threw the book back at her.  Amazed, she picked it up and saw it intact.  She offered her Krishna Leela songs to the Lord.

  • The fourth miracle happened in the presence of Sringeri Swamigal when she went into an alt and songs on Devi Sharada poured out of her and blood poured from the crown of her head.  Sringeri Swamigal put Vibhuti on her head to stop the blood.

  • The fifth miracle took place in 1950, when she visited Tiruvannamalai.  However, when she arrived at the temple, the temple priests had already closed the gates for the day.  She and a few other people travelling with her said they would peep through the grill and leave.  When they were near the Devi temple, they saw a charming young boy who called himself ‘Dandapani’ (another name for Muruga) told them that he would perform the archana for them.  Once he had performed the puja, everyone started leaving. The little boy caught hold of Andavan Pichai’s hand and took her to Lord Muruga’s sanctum and told her many stories and then said: ‘I have brought you to light.’  The next day, when Andavan Pichai’s group told the priests about the boy who took them inside the temple and performed the puja, they laughed and said that that was not possible since they had the keys with them.

Other than these divine visions, she also worked in miraculous ways for the health and good of many people.

In 1960, her granddaughter was stricken with polio in New Delhi.  Her daughter had not informed anyone about it.  Andavan Pichai knew with her inner wisdom and prayed that whatever had happened to her granddaughter should fall upon her.  One night, when she went to the outhouse, she was bitten by a snake, to lose mobility in her left leg forever, and the same night her little granddaughter miraculously recovered from polio.

She composed the Kumarashtakam for the benefit of mankind.  By reciting it in the prescribed manner, many a childless couple has had a child, a great many marriages have taken place and auspicious things have happened.

She wrote the Kali Kavacham, which was printed and distributed to the jawans during wartime.  Many a jawan has vouched how having it upon their person had saved their lives.
